Changes @ Center Chains

July 14, 2009

Dear Vermont Disc Golfers, As a result of the compromise reached between the Town, the course neighbors, and disc golfers there have been some changes made to the layout of the Center Chains Disc Golf Course.  The #6, #8, and #9 Blue Tees have been eliminated, and in the future the #5 basket will be relocated in order to get the course a little further away from the park property line.  The #6 Blue tee is now in the location of the white tee and the white tee has moved to the bottom of the hill and slightly to the right.  The #8 blue tee has been relocated to the white tee location, currently the white tees will remain there as well.  The #9 blue tee has moved to the white tee location and the white tees have moved forward about 50 feet.  There are signs which clearly mark the new tee locations and paths.  Thank you for your patience while we work out the challenges that the rapid growth of our favorite sport has presented.

Played last night way to long te grass makes te course feel ridiculously unplayable. This is an issue that needs to be discussed with the town. We, Dave and Matt, are truly doing whatever it takes to keep people happy and what in return. We have to remember that people are coming to Waterbury just to play the course, the only reason, and if it is unplayable due to long grass it reflects poorly on the club and the town. In the plan we have to have the ability to maintain the course beyond the currently level of maintanence. I will happliy run a weed whacker as I am sure a great number of members would if we can finally get the town to realize that the club is the real deal.

That Jesse Wing sounds like a trouble maker to me. Maybe the club should consider a lifetime ban for him.
