Which division should I play in?

To find out which division you should play in at a tournament, you can use the general guidelines below.

Pro Open (MPO)
A player whose average score is under par.

Pro Masters (MPM)
Same as Pro Open but over 40 years old.

Pro Grand Masters (MPG)
Same as Pro open but over 50 years old.

Pro Women(FPO)
A player whose average score is 4 over (58) and whose best score is less than 54. These players have a consistent game and can throw a variety of shots (backhand, forehands, overheads, rollers, etc). These players are experienced tournament players and have a firm grasp of the rules and etiquette and are expected to follow them all.

AM1 (MA1)
A player whose average is right around par (53-60), and whose best score is 50-53. These players have mostly the same skills as pro players but lack some of the consistency. They may be newer to tournament play, but have been playing disc golf for a few years and have a firm grasp of the rules and etiquette and are expected to follow them all.

Advanced Women (FW1)
A player whose average is (64), and whose best score is near 60. These players typically have a more limited shot selection (may not know how to throw rollers, or have weak throws like forehands for example) and lack consistency in their game. They usually have a fairly good grasp on the rules and etiquette but may need to refer to a rule book or more experienced player occasionally. Years playing can range from 2-many years.

AM2 (MA2)
A player whose average is a few above par (58-65), and whose best score is near 54. These players typically have a more limited shot selection (may not know how to throw rollers, or have weak throws on either forehand or backhand for example) and lack consistency in their game. These players are typically new to tournament play but have been playing disc golf for at least 1-2 years. These players understand the major rules of disc golf and are learning the technicalities of the rules and etiquette.

Adv. Masters (MM1)
AM1 or AM2 skill level, but over 40 years old.

Intermediate Women(FW2)
A player whose average is 70, and whose best score is below 68. This division is for those new to disc golf or tournaments or have been playing for 1-2 years. They are just starting to learn all the rules and need some guidance.

Recreational (MA3)
A player whose average is about 10 above par (>63), and whose best score is under 60. These players typically have a very limited shot selection (may not know how to throw rollers, or a forehand/ backhand) and lack consistency in their game. These players are typically new to disc golf. These players probably do not know many of the rules or the etiquette.

Juniors(14 and under) If you are 14 or younger this division is for you.
